Conservation History and Importance:

In 2000, the Estate of Anthony Texeira sold 16 acres to the Town. Pine/oak woodland borders the former farmland which has since returned to open meadow. Fields and meadows are uncommon here, representing less than 2% of the habitat types on Cape Cod. Bird nestboxes host tree swallows, bluebirds, and other species. Queen Anne’s Lace and other wildflowers bloom each summer.

Trailhead Parking:
From Rt. 124 take Queen Anne Rd. approx 0.3 mile east to the parking area on your right (just past Oak St.).
