Snowy photo gallery: See your favorite HCT properties under a blanket of white
Snow has become something of a novelty on Cape Cod in recent years, so when the white stuff falls, you have to act quickly. There’s no guarantee that it will stick around for more than a few days. Your best bet is to immediately run outside and chuck a few snowballs, then dig out the sleds and cross-country skis and get going.

When a weekend storm delivered a solid serving of snow, your friends at Harwich Conservation Trust (HCT) knew we had a golden opportunity to capture the frozen magic. But immediate action was required before the fun melted like Frosty, the cheerful but doomed snow person.
There were two choices: We could either assemble our crack Storm Team in the Cave of Icicles and come up with a comprehensive plan which might require the purchase of a dozen snowmobiles and a fact-finding trip to Lapland. Or, we could ask the great Gerry Beetham, HCT volunteer and photographer extraordinaire, to take some beautiful snow photos at your favorite HCT properties.
The decision was easy, and Gerry headed out into destiny. And we are delighted to share some of his snow photos in the gallery below. Adding to the fun, HCT Executive Director Mike Lach was out and about on the day after the snowstorm, when the sun bloomed and the frozen world of Harwich sparkled. Many thanks to Gerry and Mike for sharing the snowy beauty of HCT properties!
