Photo gallery: Coreopsis bloom at Cold Brook wows pollinators and visitors
Are you in the mood for a blast of color that will knock your socks off? Come on down to Harwich Conservation Trust’s (HCT) Robert F. Smith Cold Brook Preserve and take in the amazing yellow sea of coreopsis, now in bloom!
The coreopsis crescendo is unfurling at the Preserve’s trailhead, which leads visitors to a half-mile wheelchair accessible All Persons Trail. The perennial plants support a wide range of native bees, butterflies, moths, and beetles.
Also at the trail start is a blooming pollinator garden that was planted last year by Harwich Conservation Trust (HCT) volunteers with expert guidance provided by Karen and Gerry Beetham.
