About this walk:
Cosponsored by Harwich Conservation Trust and Eastham Conservation Foundation, join historian and author Don Wildling on an Interpretive Guided Walk (Nauset Light Beach to Coast Guard Beach) on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to noon to explore some of the historic shipwrecks and rescues along the Outer Beach of Cape Cod, ranging from the wreck of the Sparrow Hawk on Nauset Beach in 1626 to the Eldia in 1984. Don Wilding, columnist for the Cape Codder and author of the books, “Henry Beston’s Cape Cod” and “A Brief History of Eastham,” will discuss the storm-ridden wrecks of the Castagna, the Francis, the Montclair, the Jason, the Portland, and many more, while walking along the fluid and shifting sandbars where many of these events occurred.

Cost: $15.00 per person 
Space is limited, so advance reservation is required.

Distance: approx. 1.5 miles in soft sand so suggested for intermediate to advanced hikers
