June 1st Horseshoe Crab Walk

The first Guided Horseshoe Crab Walk of 2023 featured temperatures in the high 70s, abundant sunshine, and brilliant blue skies at Jackknife Cove, a beautiful setting for learning and exploration. The group gathered at an information station set up by guide and Naturalist Andrea Higgins with props and fact sheets to teach about this prehistoric creature. Participants brought their curiosity and wonder, posing excellent questions while discussing the amazing horseshoe crab. While searching the beach at low tide, one large female and two mature males were found.
