Join Joe to focus on the local diversity of butterflies that can be found in Harwich. In particular, learn about the butterflies that inhabit the town-owned conservation area called Thompson’s Field where Joe has documented 50 different species through his Pollard Walks. Some unique and rare butterflies have been discovered at Thompson’s Field as well as many resident butterflies and skippers. Learn about the relationship of butterflies to plants and learn helpful gardening tips that can help attract butterflies to your own backyard. And what exactly is a Pollard Walk you ask? Join us to find out!
