As the season shifts towards winter, many plants have dropped their fall foliage providing an extra identification challenge. Join naturalist Tom Walker on a winter tree and shrub ID adventure. Learn how to distinguish native and naturalized tree species as well as shrubs without their summer leaves. Participants will learn about bark characteristics, branching patterns, buds, fruits, habitat preferences, and a little bit of history during this half-mile walk at Coy’s Brook Woodlands.
