Calling all Jr. Malacologists! Malacology is the branch of zoology dedicated to the study of mollusks, including quahogs and oysters. If you have kids or grandkids ages 5-10, please join naturalist Andrea Higgins and Natural Resource Director Stephanie Ridenour at Wychmere Harbor to learn about aquaculture at the Town of Harwich’s Shellfish Lab. Together, we will study an upweller system, investigate and sort clams and oysters, and test the water quality of the tanks.

Discover what it really feels like to be happy as a clam with these adventures at the Shellfish Lab! Pop on your rain boots, pack your curiosity and meet us at the harbor for some fun.
