Birders and bird lovers of all kinds, let’s move through the end of winter with a series of birding walks at the Bell’s Neck Conservation Lands. The sun is warmer on our backs in February and changes begin to occur in subtle ways. We’ll scan the West Reservoir for ducks, geese and other waterfowl and look forward to the return of red-winged blackbirds later in the month. We’ll enjoy scenic views of the Herring River, marshes, and woodlands while watching for late winter visitors like songbirds, hawks, and maybe even an eagle. Learn about the unique adaptations, life history and habits of each bird species we encounter. Join Peter Trull each Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. for an exciting immersion into the world of birds. Get excited, get sharp!
