About this walk:

Walk leader Todd Kelley, photo by Vince DeWitt
Sponsored by Harwich Conservation Trust, go for a leisurely walk with naturalist Todd Kelley enjoying a conservation destination in West Harwich as the landscape transitions from fall to winter seasons. Learn about winter strategies and adaptations of wildlife while looking out across the Herring River valley. Walk through pine-oak woodland, along an old dike through red maple wetland, and pause at an Atlantic white cedar wetland that has sprung up from an old cranberry bog long since fallow from over a century ago. In addition to leading walks for HCT, Todd is the Park Interpreter at Nickerson State Park.
