Helping Wildlife

The primary goal of the Harwich Conservation Trust is to permanently preserve land that protects woods, water, wildlife and our shared quality of life. In addition to preserving land for wildlife, HCT also enhances habitat to improve wildlife foraging, nesting, and sheltering opportunities. HCT volunteers are involved in a variety of wildlife habitat enhancement projects, especially regarding bird life. See a sampling here.

Also, to assist our HCT volunteers with identifying invasive plants in the field, we have compiled a short guide to invasive plants (click here).
