About this walk:
Sponsored by Harwich Conservation Trust, botanist and environmental reporter Rich Eldred will lead a free, guided walk about the plant community through botany basics at a local conservation
destination perched by the Herring River in Harwich on Saturday, December 15th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. It’s especially interesting at this time of year after most leaves have fallen to learn alternative ways of identifying plants. At this particular streamside location, you will be able to observe and compare the differences between riverside (aka riparian) plants and upland plants. Look for branching patterns, twig color, bark color, location in the landscape, and even smell the difference between some of the twigs as ways to distinguish plants.

Destination directions are sent within a registration confirmation email.
